Sanctuary Pub in Iowa City has reopened under new ownership after briefly closing in December 2024. The long-standing local staple, known for its pizzas, sandwiches, and large beer selection, closed after 52 years but has been purchased by Yara Elamir and is planning renovations and menu updates while retaining its core atmosphere.
